Check with your manufacturer and the Westin website before purchasing. They are advertising this here almost as a universal mount, when in fact it only fits a small array of vehicles. Some of the supposed vehicles it fits as advertised here would be a serious safety concern.

I bought this winch tray to install on a 2012 Silverado. The instructions were very clear. This unit is not a simple "bolt-on" unit. The instructions call for the removal of the bumper and other assorted pieces. This is to allow for drilling additional frame holes for this application. I was able to use a right-angle drill to access the tighter areas, avoiding bumper removal. You have to trim the valance panel to fit around the area formally used by the factory tow hooks. The entire installation took around 2 hours. The tray is heavy-duty, with nice powder coating. I also purchased the prerunner bar and tow hooks for the tray. I can highly recommend if you are decent with tools and have some patience.

This thing doesn't have as clean a look as the hidden winch mount you can get from Rough Country but it doesn't require as much cutting to the plastic at the bottom of the bumper. This thing installs easily and looks good. There are 3 holes that will need to be drilled in order to install it, one would think they could use 4 of the factory holes and would require only 2 holes to be drilled. An 18V drill will do the job, provided you have a good bit to drill with. I didn't like the allen socket head bolts they send for use but they do add a little nicer appearance, over time they will not be fun to remove if i ever decide to remove it. Yes, the factory tow hooks will have to be removed and the plastic around them will need a little trim work. DO NOT USE THE FACTORY BOLTS TO INSTALL THIS. If you use the long tow hook bolts you will likely squeeze the frame and you won't be able to reinstall the factory hooks if you ever decide to.

Not an easy bolt on application.

I had to remove the plastic valence below the front bumper - about 25 bolts. I might have been able to remove the bumper and valence together but this is the route I took. I had to remove the tow hooks that came on my truck. I had to drill 3 holes in my frame, 2 on the driver's side and 1 on the passenger side. I also had to use a reciprocating saw with a metal cutting blade to cut some metal from the donuts welded to the frame to be able to drill the bottom holes on both frame members. All in all took about 5 hours to final button up. There were two large flat washers included with the kit but there were no directions on what side of the bolt to install them. The instructions were of very little help. If I wasn't very experienced with mechanic work I would not have tackled this project.
