I can’t comment on the longevity of the product, but right now I’m very happy. I did buy some 30lb gorilla tape and added it to key spots before installing because I didn’t trust the factory installed adhesive. I just put these on today and the truck looks great. Easy to apply and afterward I tested the application and they’re definitely on there good. I gave 4 stars and not 5 because there’s still about a half inch that wasn’t covered. For the price and ease of installation I would definitely recommend these rails. Please note, I also ordered the cab and tailgate rail too. This is just the side rails. Happy with all of them.

This was a very nice looking item on my 2005 Dodge Dakota truck, but within 6 mos the 3M tape began to detach. I waited and looked for everything I could possibly buy to hold it down. No success. It started curving up which made it more difficult to hold down. Finally took it to an autobody shop who recommended drilling it down with screws but it would make a hold in the metal and would cause rust. The 3M tape is not the greatest product to hold the rails down. I had cleaned, wiped and allowed it to dry before applying the rails so not sure why it happened. They don't warn you about what could possibly occur, so I would call them temporary rails.
