This small motion alarm was easy to install and reasonably easy to setup and use. There are several level of sensitivity, which were good for setting the alarm to go off really when the scooter was moved, instead of just slightly bumped. I wish the sound the device makes to warn people before the alarm goes off could be changed though. But it cannot. You can only select from three different available sounds that will play when you want to find your bike/scooter. Otherwise, the "warning" sound and alarm sound cannot be changed.
It comes with a remote control "key-fob" style, so you can arm and disarm the alarm from distance, as well as play a sound to help locate your bike/scooter...etc Key-fob & alarm have pre-installed batteries in it, which is useful. Everything looked great, and this little device does what it's supposed to do, which is warning people when they touch your property, and triggering a very loud alarm if they don't understand the warning.
My problem with this device are as follow though:
- The device is made out of plastic, and thus not very solid to resist against a good hit with some heavy tool (hammer...etc).
- The loud alarm can be easily muffled to a very quiet sound by just putting your hand front of the small speaker.
- The device stick to the bike/scooter using double sided tape and two small zip-ties. In my opinion, this mounting system is weak and the device could be easily removed. A more solid mounting system (metal collar?) would have been better.
