PROS:
1) This projector has a beautiful picture. When used with an ALR screen, the image is as nice as any I have seen. Don't fool yourself by projecting onto a wall surface -- it will certainly be inferior and waste the potential of the Nova.
2) The Nova supports Dolby Atmos.
3) The instructions are written in excellent, grammatical English -- the best I have seen in an imported electronic product. They tell you "what" to do, but have little to say about "why" you are doing it.
4) The built-in speakers are really very good.
5) Technical support typically responds in one or two days.

CONS:
1) The remote control is hard to use if you have large hands. My husband struggles with getting the correct direction on the left/right/up/down ring.
2) The Nova does not have a native Netflix app available to download due to "licensing issues" with Android. For this reason Wemax DOES NOT claim to support Netflix - fair enough. It is possible to side-load Netflix, but every time you turn on the projector, it warns you that it is "...Not Optimized For Netflix (-14)." I don't really know what this implies, but it doesn't sound good...
3) The Ethernet connection is intermittent -- some times it works, sometimes not. Wemax is not willing to repair the device, or to even discuss repair. Instead, they have given me $17 and told me to fix it myself. If they won't fix it now when it is brand new, I have to worry about how they will respond to warranty claims that might arise in the future.
4) The Nova does not support Dolby Vision. I don't think this is much of an issue.
5) Nova does support my Tablo device, but some functions do not work as well as when using the Roku/Tablo combination. I expect this is due to an Inferior Android application and is not the fault of Wemax.
6) Nova is not suitable for gaming due to excessive lag.
7) Technical support will promptly answer questions they like, and will ignore questions they don't like.

Overall, I am not sorry I bought the Nova. There are only a few shortcomings that stand between a "good" review and a "great" one.

This is my first experience with a projector TV and so I can't compare it to any others but I am pleased with the picture and it is bright enough to watch during the daytime without having to use blackout curtains. I do use an ALR screen which may be the reason it is bright enough. Somebody else left a review complaining that it can't be mounted to the ceiling and that it has to be on a very low base or it will be projected onto the ceiling. Neither complaint is true. In my opinion the UST projectors eliminate most of the reasons why people want to mount them on the ceiling but it does include instructions on how to mount it. I wanted mine to project almost to the ceiling and I have it in a base approx. 30" high.

One issue I am having is that I just switched to Directv and am having trouble pairing their remote to the Nova as neither Wemax or Formovie are listed as options. If anybody knows how to pair it; please share how.

We ordered this projector and a screen. The screen was scheduled to arrive a week later, so we used the wall while waiting. Even on the beige wall, it's incredible and clear! The unit is very quiet, and when paired with a sound bar using the HDMI-eARC connection - BOOM! The 5.1 surround is of movie theatre quality.

When the screen arrived, and we installed it, the picture was fabulous day or night! Be sure to use a high-quality ALS screen. A standard screen won't cut it. Invest the additional money in the screen to gain maximum value.

It looks like a 100-inch LED TV with a good screen (We used the Wemax PS01 ALR screen- You might want to check out our review on it)

Bottom line: If you're going to invest in this projector, invest in an ALR screen and a high-quality soundbar to complete the set. You'll be glad you did.

Excellent product. Very happy with it. It could be a little brighter compared to others like the VAVA but you're really not going to notice a whole lot as long as you are using a proper screen. I am returning my though only because looking at the official WEMAX sight I was able to get the NOVA and a 120" ALR/CLR screen for the same amount (give or take a few dollars) as I was able to purchase the NOVA off of Amazon. Please do not use any other type of screen unless it is designed for a UST projector. You are literally just wasting your time if you do. The Nova even looks great against a bare wall as long as your wall is nice and smooth. The remote control is not the greatest but functions. It is pretty touchy and I found myself having to erase a lot of letters that i did not want to press while signing into different apps.

Overall I would give this a 8 out of 10 stars. Great first UST projector for not a lot of money compared to the others on the market
