My Galaxy Tab A has two issues with this supposedly compatible battery. First is that the charging is slow, about twice the time as the original battery. The second issue is that if I use the tablet, fully charged, while the power is plugged in the battery does not stay at 100% as it should but will decrease...even though the tablet claims the battery is on charge.
I replaced the original because the Tablet would reboot itself when the battery got around 80% but the charge cycle stayed about the same over the 3 years I have owned it and whenever I used the device while the power was plugged in it would NEVER go under 100%. The only positive is that the tablet no longer suffers from random reboots...yay, I suppose.

*UPDATE* Seller worked very hard to solve this issue and decided to replace the battery. The new battery works as expected and all of my concerns were addressed very quickly and effectively. Thanks guys!

I had ordered this product to replace an original Samsung Tab A battery which was not holding a charge any longer. After watching a couple of videos on Youtube I figured out a few way which involved the tools included and a plastic knife. The included plastic prying tools we're too soft for my tablet to release the clips around the edges. I found using the tools initially to open the device is best. Then using a PLASTIC knife, just like any take out cutlery knife, worked to get the locking sites open. Plastic knives have harder plastic, but it won't damage the tablet. After install the battery was about 70 percent charged. I charged it just like normal and now it works great again! No need to buy another device! Hope this helps.
