Hitch and go.

Great product. Generally use only 2" on my trailers and implements such as wood splitter, grill, etc. Occasionally use 1 7/8" when pulling for someone else. Also have a 2 5/16" that I use for one trailer. Works great. Only issue is that the locking mechanism occasionally hangs up because I change balls so infrequently. Good idea to remember to shoot a little lube on it from time to time.

Consider post size.

Seems good. Don’t forget to consider post size. Bought one too big for my s10. I like one with pin straight through ball better. If it rusts a little you can still give a tap.

Works great!

This thing is genius. I have two trailers with a 2" ball, and one older boat trailer with a 1 7/8" ball (why?). This is an elegant solution to the problem. There's no way to lock the balls on the post, so I keep the balls in my truck so they don't get stolen. When I need to tow, I'll just dig out the right size ball and toss it on, it only takes a second. I can do it without a screwdriver, it's not that tricky. I've had this on my truck for about a year and haven't had any problems taking the balls on or off, even after getting the hitch muddy. I'm not towing anything heavy, my heaviest trailer is maybe 1000lbs, but it tows just like any other ball.

This is my second interchangable Hitch from Reese. I have a 2003 chevy truck so the product has been around awhile. The one I had was getting old and rusty so I bought new. Don't know if you could use stainless steel and have it still have enough strength but that would make it last forever. I had a hitch from another company on my prior truck and that lasted about 2 years before seizing up on the shaft. The one I bought in 2003 still functions just doesn't look pretty.

Easier than switching draw bars.

Second set of this same product. Had one on when I got rear ended and made insurance pay for a new set. I love that you can change sizes for different trailers super quick and easy. When you pull different trailers it makes a world of difference having this and not having to have different draw bars. You will want to keep it inside the truck or covered with a cover or it will get grimes and very hard to release the hold down. I also picked up a cheap cover and it seems to be keeping it in great shape.

Concerned for safety

I received these and afraid to use. The ball goes on the shaft and a screw on top turns maybe 1/4 to lock or unlock. If the hitch is on top and that screw on top gets turned the trailer is coming off and causing an accident. Pin to hold ball should not be a screw and should be on the side.
