Professional device with some ???'s

This is for the "R Series", listed at $459.99 at the time. It also says ($230/count) and sounds like you get 2 units for the price, but that was not the case.

This is a hefty unit weighing at 6kg. It can be used standing up but is unsteady. It comes with hardware to hang from the door using straps, but that is also unsteady as it swings. It can also be laid flat on the floor, but then I am not sure how it can be used. Probably the best way is to hang from the ceiling and use a table to lie down below it. The unit has eye hooks for horizontal and vertical hanging, but they only provide 2 hanging wires, so you will need 2 more for ceiling mount.

The LED lights are extremely bright and is blinding. It comes with eye protection goggles which is opaque and not sunglasses as listed. The LED lights produce quite a bit of heat at close range. Most images on web page is unrealistic as it is too blinding and too hot to do other things while using this device (the R Series unit).

The fans on the unit and they are quite noisy and not something you want for a phone call.

The unit is easy to use in that you can just use the power switch. Unfortunately the digital panel is difficult to use if you choose to use it for timer on/off, especially while trying to avoid the glaring LED lights. I found the one-sheet instruction a little difficult to read and follow.

There is a pass-thru power outlet for connecting multiple units or other appliance. Its power is controlled by a push-button next to the power switch and it can be turned on even when the power switch is off.

The radiated heat is very good for relaxing muscle and improving blood circulation. The web page description states this "R Series" unit is 1000W, but it is only 300W in reality. However, the LED light output is plenty strong.

Overall it is an effective light therapy device suited for commercial use. It is (well, at least this R unit) is probably an overkill for home use.

Big and Powerful.

This is a big and powerful red light therapy device. I got this for pain relief in my knee and leg, and this big boy does the job really well. I use this once a day, usually at the end of the day, and I've experienced some good pain relief and better sleep after using this red light.

This has 6 timer modes so you can just set it, and forget it. The timer makes using this red light so much easier.

All that being said, this is a big unit, so keep that in mind. Also, this is currently $999.99, so there's a heafty start-up cost. But if you're experiencing pain, the price just might be worth it for you.

Overall, if you can afford the price, I recommend this unit. It works really well. If almost $1000 is too much for you, they have similar units that are cheaper in price.

I Am No Longer A Sceptic

When you see rave reviews about a product you can start to wonder if it is all true. I’ve been looking for something that would help with my back pain that has been increasing with age. Well, I’ve found it. I decided to go big, and chose the “R” model, an impressive unit that can treat a large area. It did not come with a stand, which would have been nice, it does have the necessary hardware to attach it to a door and stand in front of it. With some extra rigging by my husband he was able to lower its position so I could sit on a stool with my back to it.

The controls seem complicated at first, but after setting it up a couple of times it was no longer an issue. I was cautious at first, hesitant to use it often, but I shouldn’t have worried about it. There were no negative issues, like sunburn or dry skin as a result, only the very pleasant result of decreasing problems with back pain now that I am using it a couple of times a week.

So don’t be a sceptic like I was, this device really does work. You have several sizes to choose from so it needn’t be expensive. I actually could have achieved the results I wanted with a smaller unit without a problem had realized how powerful this technology has become.
