I've owned this tester for 5 years but haven't used it since I bought it. When I went to change the
antifreeze on my "fleet" of vehicles I realized the markings don't make much sense without a key.

Luckily I saved the back flap of the packaging and present it here so everybody can see: Measure cold coolant on the white scale, and hot coolant on the green scale. Not terribly intuitive color coding.

The Temperature in 10 degree steps is the Fahrenheit scale, the other is Celsius.

Our small power grass edger is infrequently used and the gasoline in it was several years old. That made it difficult to start, even with Sta-Bil in the tank. So, we used this tool to suck out the old gas and move it to my car; then ran the edger until it ran dry. This edger sits too close to the ground to use a suction line. Tool worked fine for that -- rinsed the insides thoroughly afterwards to prevent the gasoline from ruining the rubber.

If I worked in a commercial garage, I feel that this would not be acceptable.

But to check out the old truck and SUV, it will be just fine.

The graduated markings are just crappy little stickers but like I said, one use in the fall to be sure the rides are safe and it's all good!!
