OK for a temporary solution
Reviewed in the United States ?? on August 3, 2012
While I was hoping for much more for my $10 (after $30 rebate) I guess I can't complain too much. However, the negatives of this phone are so severe that I won't let my wife use it after I replace it with an Android phone.

I purchased this phone via AT&T on-line to replace my disabled HTC Inspire 4G. I dropped it one too many times and the display died. My number isn't up for renewal for 3 months and I didn't want to pay full price for a new smart phone so I picked this one out of the small number of non-flip phones that don't require a data plan.

CONS:

- The audio quality is extremely tinny. My last flip phone 4 years ago was better.

- There is a limit of messages you can send and receive (I don't know the exact number but it's very low) and you cannot select to use your micro SD card for more storage. It's extremely annoying. So you either get stuck suddenly needing to delete messages to even SEND one or you stop receiving texts. You can set the phone to automatically delete messages as the buffer fills but, if you're like me, you can't easily select which threads/conversations have priority.

- The camera has zero zoom.

- Once you take a photo, that photo stays on the display until you hit the "back" button. When I'm taking pictures, I want to take pictures, not screen each one as I go along.

- The buttons are extremely small for even a medium sized finger.

- Nearly all apps (and there are dreadfully few of them) cost the user. I REALLY miss my Android Market.

- If you hit the Home button while using an app, you cannot get back to it easily at all.

- Limited to 3G. While you don't have to buy a data plan with this phone, it would be nice to be able to use a 4G network if you choose to get a data plan.

Pros:

- Very good battery life. It doesn't do much or have high power antennas to drain battery life. I can use it most of the day without recharging.

- Very light weight. Again, its severe lack of features leads to this.

- $10 after AT&T mail-in rebate.

Features not supported; decent talk/text device
Reviewed in the United States ?? on November 22, 2015
AT&T has dropped most support for this device. There is no ability to use apps, email, web browsing, and other features the phone CAN actually do but unfortunately CANNOT do anymore! That being said, if you can find it for a fraction of the price listed here, it's great as a talk/text only device as the battery life is FANTASTIC.

If you want custom ringtones, though, be aware that the limit is 300KB so you have to trim the file down before loading it on the phone. Also, the text message alert and Bluetooth pairing sounds will always be the same so keep that in mind.

Pantech Link ii
Reviewed in the United States ?? on December 30, 2011
This is the worst possible phone that I have ever gotten for 3 reasons.

1. The phone is a horrible phone and broke in 32 days. All it does is turn on and off. For no reason, I keep immaculate care of my possessions.

2. Upon telling the The employee at the ATT store that my phone had broken he checked it and said it was broken and under warranty. Immediately tried to SELL ME A NEW PHONE!!! Their phone broke and he tried to sell me a new phone. Why in the world would I spend my money to purchase a phone when this phone died in 32 days. No, you have to fix my phone.

3. They tested my phone at the ATT store and said the phone was broken and that it was in warranty... They had phones in the store and they would not compensate me. They made me go through a warranty factory and said all I had to do is "tell them that my phone was going through a power cycle and they would help me." They did not mention I would need my phone to contact them. It will now be another 2 weeks before I have a phone. Do not buy this phone and do not buy service through ATT.

Love this phone!

This is the best phone I have ever had. If you want an alternative to a non-smart phone without the corresponding data charge this is it! Great 2.0 mp camera, lots of cool features and totally intuitive. Phone is light weight, and has a good durable feel to it.

Beautiful display screen, and space for SD card.

I enjoyed using this phone right out of the box!!!

I don't like a touch screen so this phone is perfect for me. Easy to customize and set up. The browser is a tad bit slow sometimes but that could be my internet connection in my neighborhood. If you don't need a lot of apps or the high monthly data charge for a smart phone this phone is for you!!!
