So I ordered these for my son and when it arrived, the packaging and wrapping was in new condition, but the button covers were two different sizes. I checked the packaging thinking that I read the description wrong, but it clearly stated that both buttons were "high". I have one short and one high. They work as expected and we will use them as it. (Got a red set and that one is as described and both buttons are the same height.)

Don't believe the bad review about the sticks scratching up the controller. The reviewer forgot to add that he's using a custom faceplate. If you're using any stock controller then these will easily slip on and stay secure. I really like the hybrid convex/concave design of these sticks. I've tried about 5 different kinds of KontrolFreek sticks and these are by far the best I've tried.

These sticks are not as grippy as the vortex but there the same hight. When i game my hands sweat so its a deal breaker with the grip. Im keeping them for my spare controller but im going back to the vortex.

I love these! I play a lot of FPS games, WarZone, Vanguard, Borderlands, Battlefield, etc. I personally don't like how the regular joysticks feel that come on the Playstation controllers. I don't mind the left joystick so much but the right joystick drives me nuts. I don't like that it's concave and it tends to get a little slippery sometimes if my hands start to get a bit sweaty.
Enter KontrolFreeks. These provide extra grip and a little extra height which helps me with aiming accuracy. I don't like the super tall one, I tried it for awhile and it's just not for me. But the short one adds just enough height to the joystick that it helps me be a little more accurate and it's quite grippy so my thumb doesn't slip.

Use of these are very subjective if they will work for you or not. I have large hands and fingers and for the PS4 controller this slightly widens the top and makes them convex which allow my thumbs to roll over the analogs better. I have been using the FPS Galaxy which were concave with pointy nubs. I did not use the left one on with the galaxy cause they were slightly too large. These have been the best ones for me since owning the originals for PS3 and the Galaxy's now on to the Edge.

3 -4Star rating because there is a monopoly on these and the price has risen over the years. This is the cheapest place to get them though. In order to be able to smoothly move the analog sticks you have to file down the bottom outside of the nubs that connect to the analog stick. Otherwise when doing a full 360 degree motion the caps hit and rub the top of the controller shell creating an inconsistent experience. Other than that you generally do not notice that issue if you just move left to right. I probably only noticed it cause ive used them for ever. If you have to swing up and right, all depending on how it is positioned as well, you will feel the nubs rubbing the controller shell. These also can not be used with controller shells, however, I think controller shells are useless anyway.
3 Star rating also because the Alpha sized stick that comes with it is not a tight fit like the right one. It is slippery and when pressing hard will rotate on top of the analog which is annoying. However, I use it cause it allows for less pressure on my thumb which does get pain when playing for a long time. This does help with that, but if it were more solid like the other ones I have purchased it would be better.
