IF, and only IF, your Mariner had the factory tow package... this is a great plug and go harness. That said, my vehicle did not have the factory tow package but it DID have the wiring hanging out of the bumper (so I thought I could use this). After some extensive investigation, I've discovered that if your vehicle did not have the factory tow package you need to replace the ENTIRE Smart Junction Box (SMJ) under the center console (at a cost of multiple hundreds of dollars). The turn signal lights on the trailer harness get their power from a logic circuit inside the SMJ. There is no fuse or relay you can add to activate it, it's part of the SMJ.
