Bought this on recommendation by Strobist.com guru, Photographer David Hobby. And wow, it made fastening things so much simpler to do. Unlike velcro straps, the bungee cord compresses things together, and the marble-sized ball ends make it a snap to rig quickly. Be aware though, that the ball halves can separate, and has done so on mine on some occasions.

I use mine to tie down an external battery pack to a light stand, and it works well for me.

This is a decent quality ball bungee. Certainly there are cheaper and more expensive ones to this one. Certainly your local wallyworld will carry items similar for slight more of a price. So far this ball bungee hasnt let me down. Its held everything well. I am happy with it.

1. Two of the 8" bungees were actually 8", the other two were 7" and 6".
2. They are not very stretchy.
3. The sheath around the nylon frayed with just stretching it.
4. I need four 8" bungees that stretch, not two that don't. I am going to try these:

 10-Piece Premium Virgin Rubber 8" Bungee Ball Cords

They look really nice in the picture, they are red. Once I try them out I hope to leave a review for them as well and perhaps save other folks some frustration.
