I have a 1yr 8m old that loves music, thought a harmonica would be easy for him. The novelty ones are hard to play, i would blow so hard into it trying to get it to make any notes but both hardly occasionally made a noise. Way to hard for a toddler. The old sliver ones when i was a kid, like 30 yrs ago ?, were way better. Anny way after a couple failed attempts with the cheap novelty ones i started looking on amazon for a better one. Came across this one and got it. So glad i did. Its perfect. It came today, i opened it played it to show my son and his face lit up. Gave it to him and kept coaching him to blow and try and once he made that 1st note he got super excited and was trying more and getting the hang of it. His dad hardly ever smiles and watching my son with this harmonica made his smile. Don't waste your money on the cheap novelty ones invest in one of these. Seems pretty durable, plays easy.
