I'm a long time JFM user. It appears I could save some money switching to this product so I gave it chance. Here are is how it stacks up.

Color: I bought Godefroy Medium Brown Tint Kit. My beard looks mostly black with some grey, no brown at all. The JFM Medium Brown looks mostly brown. Winner: JFM

Application: The Godefroy kit comes with a better applicator and is easier to apply evenly to my beard. Winner: Godefroy

Preperation: The Godefroy product comes in capsules. You need to carefully twist each capsule apart without making a mess which isn't easy. The mixing cup is really tiny. JFM has a tray where you simply squeeze contents out of two tubes. Winner: JFM

Cleanup: The Godefroy dye comes in powder form. No matter how careful I was not make any mess, I got very small stains scattered all around my counter, even several feet from where I mix it. Being a powder it must be floating in the air. I'm still struggling to remove these stains. No problem with JFM: Winner: JFM

Dye time: The Godefroy product only needs to stay on my beard for a minute or so. The JFM directions say 5 minutes but I found I need to keep it on longer, closer to 10 minutes for the color to not wash right away. Winner: Godefroy

Long lasting: The Godefroy product lasts much longer. The color stays after repeated washings and I only need to reapply due to new beard growth, sometimes for about 3 weeks. JFM only lasts a week, maybe 10 days at most. Winner: Godefroy

Cost: I used about 4 capsules per usage. This means I get about 5 uses per $24 pack. I get about 3 uses per $10 JFM box. On the other hand, since the Godefroy dye lasts longer, I don't need to reapply nearly as often. Winner: Tie

Sensitivity: I did the allergy test with the Godefroy product and showed no signs of reaction. I get a burning sensation when I dye my beard though. It goes away when I wash the product out. I've never had any burning or sensitivity to JFM. Winner: JFM

Though it appears almost a tie, I'm going back to JFM since mostly due to the resulting color being as expected, brown not black.

Been using this since my eyebrows have begun to grey. Easy to use, and not too dark. I typically will leave it on for 2 mins and re apply if needing darker. Since I only use it on my eyebrows I open the capsule and use half, so I am able to double the usage. Typically do it weekly and stays for about 5 days with normal face washing.

So I have the medium brown color. I dyed just my eyebrows (and only used half of one of the capsules for the color). The directions day only to leave on for a couple minutes - THEY ARE NOT KIDDING (HAHAHAHA). It was thick enough I wasn't worried about it dripping into my eyes - and I was able to keep the dye only on my eyebrows , and the color didn't look super dark when I was applying it - but it did dye my skin a little bit - and I left it on for about 30 min (normal hair dye time) and it got VERY DARK. It as been a few days and it looks fine (off my skin but the hair is still dark), but next time I will stick to the 3-5 min time frame.
