The loop that you place around the ball gets cut by the trailer! I should have placed it around the hitch forward of the ball. I did this with electrical ties after mine was cut.
This looser ball cover is very easy to place over the ball and hangs in place when towing. The other "tight" style cover is far harder to place on off (suction). Not to mention you have to put it somewhere when towing!

I've tried several ball covers and I really like this one. You can remove it easily from the ball without getting grease all over your hands. It doesn't "vacuum seal" onto the ball like a lot of others do. I was skeptical of the keeper strap - not sure it would last - but it's holding very well with no sign of deterioration.

I have a 2" ball and ordered the right size. I tried to slip the retainer strap over the ball and the strap promptly broke. The cover works fine, but don't think the strap should be so delicate. Without the strap, I'm concerned I'll lose the cover.
