Learn on this, not on your first build.
Just one of these would keep you busy for days as you learn the do's and don't of soldering. Mamba's practice board is brilliant. Both sides have an array of dozens of different size and shaped pads, about half of them are larger than you would find on most multirotors, which is great for starting out because you can use a larger tip on your iron and see what you're doing and how fast the heat transfers and when the flux is gone etc...
Just tinning a few rows of pads and soldering wires on and I could see clear improvement in the quality of my welds.
