Some written instructions on how to use would be nice

I had a label (the last label on the roll) get stuck in the printer. It came out fine, but the LabelWriter never printed well after that. I was about to throw in the towel and buy a new one, when I read about these Dymo Cleaning Cards. I ran it through a couple of times, but it didn't seem to fix anything. I went back and read other reviews, and one said they had to run it through about 10 times. I opened a new card and ran it through probably more than 10 times, until it was almost completely dry. I never did see any "gunk" come out of it, as some of the other reviewers mentioned, but when I tried the printer again, it worked! I tried it on the other side (It is the Twin Turbo) because that side hadn't worked in a long time and after 10 times or so, it worked too! This was well worth the money as it saved me from having to buy a new printer! I only gave it four stars because if it hadn't been for one of the other reviewers saying to run it through a bunch of times, I would have given up. What ever happened to written instructions! A picture is NOT worth a thousand words! Or at least not in this case.

I was ready to buy a new DYMO label Printer when a friend told me about this product. US it about every 6-8 weeks to keep the printing clear and bright. I went 8 years of very limited printing. Now the printer is on a schedule to keep bright printing.
    I recommend this cleaner.

    I was amazed...

I have had a Dymo 400 for a lot of years and was impressed how it kept on working. I had my stuck label here and there, but it always seemed to recover. Lately, it started to print a label, and then form-feed two blank. Rewinding is a sure-fire way to peel the label from the backing, but I fretted about wasting expensive labels. My research indicated off-brand labels or label leftovers stuck in the printer. I doubted that either of these was the cause as I was using Dymo labels and kept my printer clean. Dymo suggested using the Cleaning Card that came with the printer, but I think I purchased this printer before Cleaning Cards were invented (or at least I would never find the packaging of something I bought over 20 years ago).
Long story short, I decided to try the Cleaning Cards as a last ditch effort before trashing the printer. It was a struggle to feed the card, but when I finally did, I was amazed when a clump of old label came out with it. Instantly, the printer works like new.
I decided to try a card on a Dymo Duo that has also been around for years, but still works well. Lo and behold, this one ejected a clump of old label as well.
I don't mind admitting I was totally wrong on the effectiveness of these cards, but I WAS. I stand corrected. Everyone should keep a couple on hand.

Useful, easy to use, and definitely worth the price

Each cleaning card comes in its own foil packaging, and the ones I have opened and used were fully saturated in the solution they used, which is mostly isopropyl alcohol; but it wasn't dripping or overly soaked.

The cards clean the printing head very well. I never used these until about 8 months after using my Dymo 4xl on a regular basis, because I didn't know it was almost necessary to do use them on a regular basis as maintenance. But after using them, and running the card repeatedly until it dried out, there was a noticeable difference in the print quality.

The cleaning cards dry out pretty quickly once opened and exposed to the air, so use them as fast as possible. You can run it through the printer as many times as you can before it dries out to clean the printer heads really well. I'd rather spend around $10 every few months to keep my Dymo in great condition, rather than have to buy a new printer down the line. Definitely worth having and using regularly.

Work as expected, though not cheap

The very first time I used my LabelWriter 450 Twin Turbo, I had a nasty jam, even though I was using the labels which came with the unit, and not some "off-brand". Fortunately there was a "cleaning card" that came with the unit. . . but only one. So I ordered some more for "back-up". Fortunately, I haven't had another jam. . yet. . . so I haven't had to use one. Nonetheless, this is something that you will always want to have on-hand.

FYI, you must read the directions. You don't just put it through once, and that's it. You put it through up to ten times. There is cleaning solution on the card, and the card is also a little "rough" so it gets the "gunk" off the roller and other parts.

The only "complaint" I have is that I couldn't find a "compatible" product to do the same thing. I think the price is a little much for what they are, but when you need one, you'll be glad you have it.

I had a double-feed issue with my Labelwriter 400 Turbo. Internet sources indicated that when that happens, a good practice is to run a cleaner card through the machine. Several suggested using a business card moistened with alcohol, but I thought it might be better to use Dymo cleaner cards. I think these Dymo cleaner cards are a bit pricey, BUT the paper appears to be the proper thickness and has what appears to be good texture for cleaning and already moist with the proper amount of alcohol. After I used the cleaner card, my double-feed problem is gone.

My label printer quit printing. Found out you need to send a cleaning packet through every blue moon... and I had not done it in two years. These packets are basically alcohol soaked swatches. You send them through the device to clean it. I could not believe the junk that came out of the printer. Who knew?! Now it’s printing again like it is brand new.
