Fit perfectly on my 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
Reviewed in the United States ?? on July 17, 2022
Verified Purchase
The interchange said it didn't fit a 2003 Tahoe, but enough people said it fit on similar trucks I decided to give it a try.
It fit just as well as the stock hitch. I had to drop the spare to fit it up and then scoot it back a little when I put it back, but there was plenty of space.
The number holes didn't quite line up, but I suspect that was due to prior overloading of the other hitch bending the number slightly. We put a big bar on the bumper and flexed it back enough to get the bolts in and it is all happy now.

Mostly fit ?

I’ve installed Curt receivers in the past, and they have always been good quality. This one is no exception. The main bolt pattern to the frame was spot on. Unfortunately the bumper bolts were a little off, and the included bolts for the bumper were too large. This in on a 2002 Suburban LS. I just welded a 3/8” plate behind original and opened the holes, then replaced the bolts with grade 8 and all is well.

Easy installation. perfect fit 02' Yukon

the fit was perfect and went on super easy. i had one little snag and i'm writing this so someone else can avoid it. on my truck the threaded bolt holes that go into the bottom part of the bumper were super rusted out and did not allow me to thread in the bolts, so i had to go buy a metric tap and die kit from harbor freight to re-cut the threads. the tap is a 14x2.0mm tap. this is very important you use the correct tap.............14x2.0mm. if your gonna buy the hitch here might want to check those holes in the bottom of the bumper and get the tap at the same time so you dont waste time during installation. if your bolt holes are cleaned and not rusted install time is like 15min. Two people make this job way easier because this hitch is too heavy to hold up and try to get the 1st bolts started by yourself. after installation i took my 5x10 trailer out and picked up cord of wood and had no problems. after i got back i re-torqued all the bolts to make sure they were all super tight. have fun.

Direct fit for my 2000 GMC Yukon XL. Took me about an hour to swap out and gave me 2" of lift from stock hitch. FOLLOW THE RE-TORQUE guidelines after 40 miles pulling 8000 lbs the bolts were up to 20 lbs to loose.

Great fit! Hardware included!

Fit and finish is great. Installed on cladded Avalanche. If your Avalanche has cladding, a small amount of trimming around the hitch/pin area is necessary, but it was expected/known when I ordered. The main body is straight box tubing and does not curve down like the oem round tube hitch. The receiver sits a little bit higher but will be much stronger than the original!

Fits 2005 Yukon XL 2500 with evap canister

Heavy duty unit! There is no application guide that shows that this is supposed to fit a 2005 Yukon XL 2500. However it fits perfectly even with EVAP canister on the passenger side. This also fits 2000 Suburban 1500. I pulled it off my 2000 suburban 1500 when it got wrecked and put it on my 2005 Yukon XL 2500. This thing is perfect! Very heavy.
