I just moved to Georgia from a nearly a bugless state (CO) and wanted to protect my food from the dreaded roach. Buying a house in Georgia and getting critters comes with the territory until you get your home sprayed and managed. Therefore, I bought this bread container for the way it sealed. It meant I could leave my bread out on the counter and away from roaches mouths and tiny feet and not have to freeze it. They can eat through the light plastic. This container works well for long and slender breads. With artisan style breads it does squish them slightly as they are wider and shorter. Having said this I've made it work by keeping the bread closer to the top of the lid. It is also wider at the top and slimmer at the bottom. I'd like to see this container the same size from top down and wider.
