Base plates are of good quality and delivered on time. The instructions were significantly lacking in quality. Pictures were very dark and very difficult to recognize. Required much interpolation.
Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong base plates because they were not advertised in order of year and models. Rather they were shown in a sporadic arrangement. Thus, I returned them around May 24, at a cost of $65 for mailing and a possible 20% restocking fee. Supplier was understanding and worked with me to my satisfaction.
I ordered the correct ones and they were received as advertised. Be very careful when you order. Definitely call the vendor before ordering to be sure you are ordering the correct model.
One huge installation problem is how the backing nuts are welded to 12” rods that must be bent and inserted into the frame through a drilled hole. Then you have to fish the nut down and align it with the bolt inserted into the hole from outside the frame. The bolts and nuts are fine thread and require pressure to get the threads seated. it is next to impossible to apply pressure with the rods bent to reach the nut. Perhaps the manufacture could change to a tapered bolt to facilitate alignment and threading of the bolt to the nut; or use some type of wing nut or compression nut that could be inserted through from the outside of the bolt hole. Better yet, change the design of the mounting to secure without having to Fisk so many nuts on wires. Had the application of the bolts to nuts through the drilled holes, I would haver given this product 5 stars.
