About Us

When Asa Phillips started Auto Ventshade (AVS) in 1935, there was no way he could envision that, over 80 years later, AVS would be an industry force with an international presence. His company was built around the Ventshade, a metal device that mounted above car windows letting fresh air in while keeping rain and bad weather out. This gave rise to the invention of Ventvisor and the side window deflector category. As the popularity of the Ventshade grew, Mr. Phillips’ son, Asa Phillips Jr., introduced the Ventvisor side window deflector in plastic. In 1998, Lund International acquired AVS, taking it to new levels of success and innovation.

Today, AVS has become synonymous with Ventvisor side window deflectors, hood protectors, and multiple products that help you enjoy and protect your vehicles. AVS Bugflector II on 2006 Envoy Denali

I debated on the AVS Bugflector II in Chrome (because of the grill) or Smoke/Black (because of the body color) for my 2006 Envoy Denali (Black/Ebony). I went with the Smoke because of the body color and it matched perfectly. Easy to Install using packaged directions, fasteners, existing factory holes in the underside of hood, and already applied tape strips on the ends. Great Price, Well Packaged, Free Shipping, and to my surprise, arrived in 1 day via FedEx Saturday Delivery! On the downside for my application, the Bugflector II does cover the factory chrome edge strip on the front of the Envoy Denali hood and protrudes a half inch or so forward of the grille and above the hood - but from a height perspective it is perfect to keep from damaging the paint. Looks Great and matches the AVS Ventvisor Window Deflector Shades I installed years ago.
